# Getting started

> Set up your first Lightdash project and learn the fundamentals.

Start with the [Quickstart](/get-started/quickstart) to get your dbt project Lightdash-ready, connect your warehouse, and invite your team. From there, pick the track that matches what you're doing next.

If you're consuming data, **Explore your data** walks through querying Tables, building charts and dashboards, and sharing insights. If you're building the semantic layer, **Build your semantic layer** covers adding Tables and creating metrics and dimensions.
